Hello!
Today, I visited Marugame Udon, a new Japanese udon chain that just opened in Guam.
It’s located in the “Village of Donki,” inside the Guam Don Quijote store.
Once you park and head toward the entrance, you’ll easily spot the store.
Since it just opened, there was a bit of a wait.
I went a little after 11 AM, and there was already a long line.
However, the restaurant has plenty of seating, so the line moved quickly, and I was seated in no time.
The ordering process is simple: once it’s your turn, grab a tray, tell the staff the number of the dish you want, and they will prepare it right away.
For tempura, you can choose your favorites and help yourself.
Here is the menu.
I ordered number 1 and number 3.
While I was looking at what others were ordering, I noticed that the curry udon (number 8) and beef bowl (number 10) were also popular.
But, since it’s an udon shop, I thought I should stick with udon!
Once you’ve chosen everything, head to the register to pay for your meal along with your drink.
You can choose your drink, and there’s also free water available inside.
Additionally, you can order vegetable tempura at the register if you’d like.
This is the number 1 Kamaage Udon.
It comes served in hot water, and you dip the udon into the sauce.
The noodles were cooked perfectly with a nice, chewy texture, and the sauce had a bit of saltiness to it, which made it delicious.
This is the number 3 Kitsune Udon.
It’s a basic udon with tofu (aburaage) on top.
The flavor is simple, but the noodles were so good that I really enjoyed it.
If you don’t like tofu, you can opt for number 2 instead.
These are the vegetable tempura, squid, shrimp, eggplant tempura, and a soft-boiled egg tempura.
The tempura had an authentic taste and was really delicious.
Even though it’s an udon shop, you can enjoy traditional Japanese tempura here as well.
You can grab water, chopsticks, and various seasonings from the counter as needed.
Here’s a look at the inside of the restaurant.
There are a lot of tables, so the turnover is quick.
Today, I visited Marugame Udon, a new Japanese udon specialty shop that just opened in Guam.
If you’re shopping at Donki and get hungry, or if you’re craving Japanese udon in Guam, I definitely recommend stopping by.
I was very satisfied and enjoyed my meal a lot!
