Rent a Car

Business Car Rental & Leasing

Two ways to keep a car for a long time

Renting and leasing are not the same arrangement, and which one fits depends almost entirely on how far ahead you can see. Renting has a published price and can start today. A lease is quoted for your company and starts with a conversation.

Rent by the month

A flat thirty-day rate, taken one month at a time. The figure is published, liability insurance and unlimited mileage are inside it, and nothing is committed to beyond the month you are in.

Suits: a job with an end date you can roughly see, cover while a vehicle is off the road, staff who are here for a season.

Lease

No published price, because the term, the vehicle and the mileage all move the figure. We quote it for your company, and the terms sit in the agreement rather than on a rate card.

Suits: a vehicle you expect to keep well past the point where renting by the month still makes sense.

What companies here rent by the month

These are the ones that come up most often, and all of them book at the published rate.

Cover for a company vehicle

A van goes in for repair and the deliveries it was doing carry on regardless. Parts reach Guam by sea, so that gap is usually counted in weeks.

Crews and rotations

Staff come for a few months and go again. One car held on a monthly rate covers the whole run of them, and additional drivers are registered at the counter for an extra charge.

A job with an end date

Renting for the length of the contract leaves nothing to dispose of when it finishes, which on an island is the awkward part of owning a vehicle.

Busy months only

Take more cars for the season and fewer afterwards. Nothing is committed to beyond the month in front of you.

The thirty-day rate

One figure for the month, whatever the car does in it. Liability insurance, unlimited mileage and all taxes are already inside it, so the number below is the number.

When a lease is the better fit

Renting by the month is built around not having to decide. That flexibility is worth paying for while the end date is still moving, and worth less once it has stopped moving.

If you already know the vehicle is staying, a lease is the thing to ask about. Tell us what it is for, how long you expect to need it, and roughly how far it will be driven, and we will come back with a proposal.

Quoted arrangements are not only leases. Insurance carriers on Guam arrange replacement vehicles with us on the same basis, agreed directly with the carrier rather than at the published rate.
