Opened in April last year, DonDon Donki Guam has
quickly become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Many of you might
already know that DonDon Donki is the international version of Japan’s popular
discount mega-store, offering a wide variety of Japanese gourmet food, daily
necessities, electronics, and miscellaneous goods at affordable prices.
Always bustling with people, the store underwent a
major renovation from February to March, just ahead of its first anniversary.
The goal? Making shopping not only easier but also more enjoyable. With a
brand-new layout and improved sections, the store now offers an even better
experience for everyone.
From a tourist’s perspective, the revamped store is
incredibly traveler friendly. It’s now much easier to find souvenirs, and the
featured recommendations are clearly displayed perfectly for first-time
visitors who want a smooth shopping experience. Let’s look at what’s new at
DonDon Donki Guam!
The current store hours are from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Please note that large suitcases are not allowed inside the store, but you can
check them at the Information Center.
As you enter, you’re greeted with a cheerful “WELCOME”
sign and a spacious souvenir section right at the front.
A newly designed floor map and directional arrows on
the floor make it super easy to navigate.
With new signage and eye-catching displays, the
souvenir area is now more accessible and enjoyable to browse. You’ll find local
delights like Made-in-Guam chocolates and cookies, as well as coffee beans
roasted right here on the island.
The store also offers original Donki Guam merchandise
— exclusive items you can’t get anywhere else. These include designs featuring
Donpen the Donki penguin mascot and fun, tropical-themed products that
perfectly capture the spirit of Guam.
Further inside, you’ll find a travel essentials
section, catering to both locals preparing for trips and tourists in need of
handy items. Travel-size toiletries such as shampoo and body wash are
available, and if you went a little overboard on souvenir shopping, why not
pick up a new suitcase?
Keep going and you’ll arrive at the Sanrio corner,
beloved by fans around the world. From Hello Kitty and My Melody to Kuromi and
more, a variety of adorable goods are on display. It’s like shopping in Japan
without leaving Guam — packed with all things “Kawaii.”
Even further in, you’ll find a section dedicated to
Japanese manga and anime merchandise. From plastic models to collectibles, it’s
a paradise for fans of Japanese pop culture.
Every part of the store is packed with vibrant signs
and colorful displays. It’s easy to find what you need — and what’s on sale —
and the lively atmosphere makes browsing so much fun. Whether you’re looking
for Guam souvenirs, trendy Japanese goods and toys, or American groceries and
