Introducing Hafa Bee FARM – A New Ice Pop Shop in
Chamorro Village. This time, we’re introducing Hafa Bee FARM, an ice pop
shop that opened in November last year in Chamorro Village. It’s run by the
same owner behind some of Guam’s popular souvenirs, such as mango confiture and
the hot pepper sauce “Red Mama.”
Located near the Paseo Stadium side of the central
pavilion in Chamorro Village, the shop offers a simple menu of two base types:
milk-based and fruit juice-based ice pops. Each type includes variations with
fresh fruit, chocolate, matcha, and more.
There are also daily special flavors, so be sure to
check the menu when you visit. Word has it that acai bowls will be added soon
as well.
In the photo above, you can see a milk-based chocolate
pop and a juice-based calamansi & honey pop from the daily specials. The
chocolate pop is a personal favorite of the owner, who perfected its taste
through many trials with ingredients and techniques. It’s rich in chocolate
flavor without being overly sweet. The calamansi & honey pop, made with
plenty of fresh calamansi juice, is a refreshing blend of tartness and gentle
honey sweetness—perfect for Guam’s tropical climate.
Another photo shows a fruit juice-based blueberry pop
packed with whole blueberries. The icy blueberry juice is perfect for cooling
off, making it another highly recommended item.
The price point is also appealing, ranging from $2.50
to $3.00. In addition to Wednesday night markets, the shop is open every
weekday, so be sure to drop by when driving through Hagåtña.
The mango confiture mentioned earlier is sold under
the popular Hafa Jam brand, and the former Red Mama hot sauce has
been updated with new ingredients and production methods and is now sold as Chili
Kitty. Coming soon are new jam flavors such as pineapple & honey,
papaya, and mango pika. These products will be available at JP Superstore, ABC
Stores, and more—so stay tuned!
